Udongo Kimono Inspired by Mnazi Zanzibar

$110

Inspired by slow, earth-led living in Zanzibar and the handmade ethos of Mnazi, the Udongo Kimono draws from spaces where clay, fabric, and hands coexist. Crafted in clay viscose slub cotton, the piece features hand-beaded detailing on both the front and back.

On the front panels, repeated hand-beaded tribal symbols are placed by hand. On the back, a large hand-beaded artwork of women carrying clay pots forms the focal point of the piece. All beadwork is executed in white micro seed beads using the tambour technique.

Handmade at the Ekantik workshop in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
